Jordan was accused of patting a woman on the buttocks at a nightclub last fall, resulting in a complaint of misdemeanor sexual battery by the woman and her boyfriend, who was involved in a scuffle with the 6-4, 287-pound defensive end. The report also says Jordan dangled the woman’s boyfriend in the air in the club’s bathroom and taunted him.

While it is normal for the league to investigate allegations made against its players, sources told The Advocate that it would be a surprise if any punishment is handed down.

The Saints signed Jordan, their 2011 first-round draft pick to a five-year, $60 million extension in June. The two-time Pro Bowler has recorded 39 sacks and 151 tackles in five seasons with the Saints.
